Depending on cosmetic and health needs, breast tissue can enhance health, confidence, and lifestyle in various ways. That’s why more and more people are getting breast procedures done on a daily basis. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reports over 3.1 million breast cancer survivors in the U.S and over 255,000 new cases each year will need breast surgeries at some point in the future. That’s the reason why more and more patients are opting for different procedures for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes as well as cosmetics. It raises the need for advanced support and cares for patients and standardized products for medical professionals.
Breast augmentation and other breast surgeries have increased steadily over the past few years to 39%. Despite rising awareness and demand, there is still no standard care for these procedures. Nowadays patients are being treated with assorted recovery products to meet their recovery needs with no access to equipment and products which can make the healing process manageable. It is raising problems for patients and surgeons alike, as preventing complications is always easier than managing them. To reduce post-op complications and speed up post-op dressing and recovery we have a specialized product aiming to make dressings easier and faster for surgeons.
What is EZbra?
EZbra is a sterile, disposable, and adjustable post-op bra that can be used for any breast procedure. It meets the requirements set by surgeons for their post-op patients as advanced breast support. It provides absorption, drain stabilization, and compression to fit all breasts’ conditions and shapes and allows an easy, accessible, and fast change of dressing while keeping the wound clean. It dramatically decreases the complications associated with non-compliance of the patient by giving them a better and manageable alternative for their support.
EZbra is versatile breast support that is good for all breast procedures. These procedures include biopsy, lumpectomy, mastectomy, breast augmentation, reduction, lift, and reconstruction. Although all these procedures have different needs and requirements, EZbra has the flexibility to mold according to individual procedures and patient needs. EZbra can even fit asymmetrical breasts in case of unilateral mastectomy and provide compression-only where it is needed sparing the healthy, non-affected breast. It is something specifically curated keeping in mind the comfort and individuality of patients and requisites of a surgeon.
How To Use EZbra?
Most of the dressings available for post-op are difficult to handle and need professional skills to apply and change. They increase the length of recovery time and make things inconvenient due to the need for multiple clinical visits. Also, they can increase the possibility of failing to keep the wound clean and they have a lack of flexibility for individual needs. These problems can be sorted out easily by EZbra. It is easy to apply, easier to change, and is a disposable dressing that provides A-grade wound compression and cares all in one product. Here is a simple guide on how to use EZbra effortlessly post-op and on follow-up clinic visits by the patient.
EZbra- Immediate Post Op use
EZbra meets the criteria for medical A-grade wound care and dressing. It achieves the standards set by top surgeons for their post-op patient’s needs. Learn how you can use EZbra immediately post-op and benefit your patient.
Carefully take EZbra out of safe, sterile packaging. Unfold it and place it on the stretcher for better accessibility and orientation. Transfer the patient to the stretcher ensuring EZbra is already at an appropriate height under the patient’s armpit. To apply EZbra pull the device upward while slightly stretching it. Fasten the tabs in a criss-cross pattern. Take the upper tab over the left cup and attach it there. Now cross and attach the lower tab on the right cup. You will find flex bands on EZbra. Unfold the flex band, pull them to appropriate requirements and compression, and attach them to the skin. Take the other flex band and repeat the process in the opposite direction to properly fasten the EZbra. You can change the pressure and shape by changing tabs and flex bands according to breast folds. You can also adjust the compression to one breast or both breasts according to the procedure. EZbra has an in-build drain system that can help in wound drainage and stabilization.
